3,000 years ago a strange electrical storm gave thousands of people immortality and invincibility. Many of them joined a clandestine society-led by a man named Praxxus-to create a new world for and by immortals. Of course, not all immortal people joined him. And, as long as they kept to themselves, Praxxus didn't care. But those that didn't-those that used their immortality for monetary gain or notoriety-jeopardized the entire operation by making their presence known to mortal peoples. A taskforce was created to track down and detain those who caused problems called the Immortal Control Agency. Anya Baxter, a loyal, hard-working agent of that force goes on what she thinks is another mission to detain a pair of recidivist criminals, but she begins to uncover a deeper conspiracy that could change the order of the world itself...
